The mission of the Knights of Columbus is to empower Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work and in their community. It is a Catholic, Family, Fraternal, Service organization.


Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Father McGivney was beatified on October 31, 2020.


Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See.


Knights of Columbus, Fr. Maurice R. Daly Council 6076 was chartered June 8, 1968. The council meets in our parish center on the first Thursday of the month. MEN @ PRAYER


We serve coffee, juice and a light breakfast.  The following Sunday’s Mass scripture readings are read and discussed.  The meeting is closed with prayer and the opportunity for individuals to voice prayer intentions.  We begin promptly at 7:00 am and finish at 8:00 am so men can attend 8:00 Mass or go to work.  All men are welcome.  No registration required, come as you are.

WHAT IS THE SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER?

The Secular Franciscan order is an institution within the church, consisting of men and women – married and single – who live and work in the world.  It is a religious order for lay Catholics.

We follow a way of life that is faithful to the original rule written by St. Francis of Assisi adapted to today’s circumstances.

The rule and life of the Secular Franciscan is this: “to observe the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We are a fraternity of over 650,000 members world-wide.

WOMEN'S EMMAUS


Q. What is the Emmaus retreat?

A. The Emmaus retreat is for women who wish to experience God, renew and deepen their relationship with the Lord, and take time for personal growth; as well as for those in search of “something more.” The retreat is based on the Gospel of Luke 24:13-35


Q. Who should attend the Emmaus Retreat?

A. The retreat is for all women, regardless of denomination or where they are on their faith walk.


Q. What happens during the Emmaus Retreat?

A. The retreat is filled with times for listening, sharing, reflecting, journaling, and praying.


Q. What are the benefits of attending the Emmaus Retreat?

A. The benefits of the retreat will be personal to you. Many women experience spiritual healing, a relief from emotional burdens, and the joy of being loved unconditionally. The retreat is also a time to make new or renew old friendships, while recognizing Jesus intimately in the breaking of the bread.

A. The cost of the retreat is $175.00 per person, which includes your room, meals and retreat materials.
